AI Talentum is a technology-based company specialised in artificial intelligence, machine learning and high-performance computing. With expertise in algorithm development focused on data analytics, mainly in the development of predictive models/tools for the food industry. AI Talentum also helps companies with the quantification of their environmental impact (carbon and water footprint) through AI models that provide recommendation of abatement activities for reducing the environmental impact of productive processes, including those related to Scope 3.

ArcelorMittal Maizieres Research

ArcelorMittal is the world's leading steel and mining company, with a presence in 60 countries and primary steelmaking facilities in 16 countries. The company employs around 1,500 full-time researchers at 11 geographical sites throughout the world, with centres strategically placed in Europe, North and South America.

ART21

ART21 is an AgriFood Tech innovation house from Lithuania, solely focused on applying breakthrough technologies and providing novel solutions for the agriculture, food and associated sectors in the Baltic states and beyond. The research, development and innovation (R&D&I) activities, products and services developed by the company encompass precision agriculture, predictive and decision support systems, sustainable farm management, supply chain management, food integrity and authenticity, etc.

Its extensive performance history is backed by more than 1,500 indexed publications and its excellence is based on its research staff, 60% of whom hold PhDs.

CIM4.0

CIM4.0 (COMPETENCE INDUSTRY MANUFACTURING 4.0 S.C.AR.L.) is a competence center network consisting of three public bodies and 22 enterprises. It provides strategic and operative support instruments for enterprises toward the digital transformation of industrial processes, strongly accelerate, at local and national level, the transformation process of a wide portion of Italian SMEs. The premises of CIM4.0 has been equipped with two pilot lines, jointly developed to support the technological maturation of innovative processes and products, giving companies an actual place capable of lighten the approach to new technologies, new markets and new business models, to test processes and products before bringing innovations to the market (targeting high TRL solutions, starting from TRL5 and developing values up to 9).

Emphasis DigiWorld

Focused on the development of solutions for data-driven operational intelligence and sensor-based performance analysis of business processes, Emphasis DigiWorld applies machine-to-machine (M2M), industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and visualize using web/mobile technologies to support real-time decision making and optimize business processes in various sectors, such as mining, cement and aggregates industries.

Flow Technology

With more than 15 years of experience in industrial production and quality management software, Flow Technology is a pioneer in the development of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for the Portuguese agro-food industry. Flow Technology offers software, which can integrate with other software, hardware, as well as other specific and innovative devices, designed to help companies in their processing operations.

INESC-TEC

INESC TEC is a research institution, dedicated to scientific research and technological development, technology transfer, advanced consulting and training, and pre-incubation of new technology-based companies. Hosting 750 researchers, it is the largest R&D organization in Portugal covering the thematic domains of Industry and Innovation, Computer Science, Networked Intelligent Systems, and Power and Energy.

Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems and Automation (LMS)

The Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems & Automation (LMS) is oriented on research and development in cutting edge scientific and technological fields. LMS is involved in a number of research projects funded by the CEU and European industrial partners. Particular emphasis is given to the co-operation with the European industry as well as with a number of “hi-tech” firms. It is organised in different groups: 1) manufacturing systems; 2) robots, automation and virtual reality in manufacturing; 3) manufacturing processes modelling and energy efficiency.

Magneti Ljubjana d.d.

Magneti Ljubljana is a European manufacturer of permanent metallic magnets, bonded magnets and magnetic systems with a long-lasting tradition, since 1951. Their production range includes sintered and cast AlNiCo magnets, sintered SmCo and NdFeB magnets, PA and PPS bonded NdFeB magnets as well as magnetic systems based on these products.

MEVGAL

MEVGAL S.A. is a private company located in Northern Greece and ranks fourth among dairy industries in Greece. The company produces and markets a full range of products such as milk, yogurts, and various types of soft, semi-hard and hard cheese. Its personnel consist of more than 600 highly qualified, technical and administrative staff. MEVGAL collaborates with hundreds of local farmers and has developed long-term relationships with several local organisations.

Politecnico di Torino (POLITO), founded in 1859, is one of the most important universities in Europe for Engineering and Architecture studies, strongly committed to collaboration with industry. Research activities are organized in 11 Departments and 11 Interdepartmental Centers and activate about 800 collaborations per year with industries, public institutions and local organizations.

In so doing, it aims to optimise and integrate processes, applications and devices.

Technische Universität Braunschweig

TU Braunschweig is the oldest technical university of Germany and a member of the TU9. Its research profile is characterised by long-term interdisciplinary and cross-faculty research alliances. Their Open Hybrid LabFactory (OHLF) focuses on ultralightweight materials that feature “smart” functions, and the Battery LabFactory Braunschweig (BLB) is dedicated to engineering high-capacity batteries to make e-mobility more sustainable.

University of Twente

As one of the four main universities of technology in the Netherlands, the University of Twente stands for “High tech with human touch”. Strategically located between the deep-sea port of Rotterdam and the hinterland, making it a center for education and research in manufacturing and productivity. As ‘the ultimate people-first university of technology' at the Faculty of Engineering Technology research focuses on the establishment of rational foundations for manufacturing based on a systematic understanding of the complex interactions among the many areas of production.
